Ademola Lookman will undergo medical tests on Monday (today) to ascertain the severity of the injury he sustained in Atletico Madrid’s Copa del Rey final defeat to Real Sociedad.
Lookman, who was on target for Atletico in the game, was substituted in the 62nd minute for what has been identified as an adductor problem.
According to popular Spanish publication, Marca, Marcos Llorente and Alexander Sorloth also picked up knocks in the game.
Atletico Madrid will hope the Nigeria international avoids a serious injury with the club still challenging for the UEFA Champions League title.
The Red and Whites will face Arsenal in the semi-final later this month.
Lookman joined Diego Simeone’s side from Serie A club Atalanta during the winter transfer window.
The 28-year-old has already registered seven goals, and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Atletico.
