The All Progressives Congress in Owerri Zone has announced a change in the time for its zonal leadership meeting scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2026.

According to a notice issued by the party’s zonal leadership on Sunday, the meeting will now be held at 10:00 am prompt at Ewayi Event Centre, located opposite OCDA, off Port Harcourt Road, New Owerri, Owerri.

The notice was signed by the Owerri Zonal Chairman, Justus Ogu, and the State Assistant Publicity Secretary, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, who also serves as Secretary of the planning committee.

The meeting is convened by the Zonal Executive Committee in line with the directive of the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma.

Quoting the statement, “This is to inform all invited leaders of the All Progressives Congress, Owerri Zone, that the time for the Zonal Leadership Meeting earlier scheduled has been adjusted.”

The party added, “All invited participants are expected to be seated before 10:00 AM.”

It further stressed the importance of attendance, stating, “Attendance is mandatory for all invited leaders.”

Those expected to attend include ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, and secretaries across the zone, as well as local government party executives, councillors, supervisory councillors, and council chairmen.

Also listed are serving and former state and zonal party executives, members of the State and National Assemblies, government appointees at all levels, and former deputy governors.
