Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been named in the Italian Serie A Team of the Week for gameweek 32.

Okoye has been brilliant for Udinese this season, and he produced yet another great performance for his side when they traveled to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to take on league giants AC Milan.

The Bianconeri were the underdogs going into the game because of AC Milan's quality, stature, and dominance in previous meetings. In fact, the Rossoneri had won the last four meetings between the two sides.

However, Okoye and his teammates shocked the former Serie A champions in front of their home fans.

Goals from Arthur Atta, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, and Davide Bartesaghi (OG) sealed the win for Udinese. The Rossoneri failed to score on the night, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

They registered 20 goal attempts on the day, but only three were on target, all of which were saved by Okoye. In fact, one of his saves from that game has drawn plaudits from many fans and pundits.

Maduka Okoye Makes Serie A TOTW

On Tuesday, Serie A revealed their Team of the Week for gameweek 32, and Okoye was named between the sticks. He was one of six goalies who kept a clean sheet in the last gameweek, but his cool and composed performance was too hard to ignore.

He is not the only Udinese player on the team, however, as his teammates Atta and Ekkelenkamp also made the cut.

There is also space for Robin Gosens, Rafael Obrador, Denzel Dumfries, Scott McTominay, Riccardo Orsolini, Marcus Thuram, Sebastiano Esposito, and Donyell Malen.
