Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has shared his thoughts on why his side were thumped 3–0 by Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, April 12.

Goals from Jérémy Doku, Nico O’Reilly, and Marc Guéhi condemned the Blues to yet another defeat at Stamford Bridge, piling pressure on Rosenior, who replaced Enzo Maresca in January.

Chelsea risk missing out on Champions League football next season, as the Blues remain in sixth position with 48 points from 32 games.

Speaking in his post-match reaction, Rosenior admitted that his side's performance was underwhelming in the second half.

“In the second half, the performance was nowhere near what we wanted. There was no frustration with the first half; we were organised and very difficult to break down.

“Cucu’s goal was marginal. I still don’t know how close it was, but they have made the decision.

“The reality now is there are too many times we go a goal down, and it’s quickly followed by another, and that can’t happen,” he said.
