The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has said a viral video alleging a terrorist attack in Abuja is false and misleading.

In a statement, the police said there is no security breach anywhere in the FCT. It said findings show the gunshots were edited and superimposed on unrelated footage.

The CP has ordered a forensic investigation to identify and apprehend those behind this deliberate attempt to incite panic.

"We urge the public to ignore and stop sharing such content," the command said.
