Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has shared his reaction following Udinese’s goalless draw with Como in the Italian Serie A.
The Zebras held the high-flying Cesc Fàbregas’ side to a draw at the Bluenergy Stadium on Monday, April 6.
Udinese ended Como’s five-game winning streak by securing a crucial point, extending their own unbeaten run to five matches.
Okoye, who was between the sticks for the Zebras, expressed his delight after keeping a clean sheet in the game.
“I’m happy with the clean sheet, but especially with the point. They were strong; it wasn’t easy, but we worked hard during the week and were ready,” he told the club’s official website.
“We always watch how the game unfolds to determine whether to build from the back or go long. We didn’t want to take any risks in the final stages, so we played long.”
