The Plateau State Government has reminded the public that the law banning commercial motorcycle operators (Okada) within the Jos Greater Master plan is still in place and active.
Subsequently, the appropriate Government organs, Mobile Court and security operatives have been directed to conduct patrols, prosecute offenders and enforce the ban.
Members of the public are advised to report to the security agencies suspicious persons' movement on motorcycles within the greater Jos Master Plan. Meanwhile, the hours of operation for Tricycle riders (Keke) within the Jos and Bukuru Metropolis still remain 6:Am to 7:Pm.
The Plateau State Government assured the general public of its resolve and commitment to ensuring the safety and efficient transport services in Plateau State.

Davou Gyang Jatua, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Transport, Plateau State, following a barbaric attack on the Gari Ya Waye community in Angwan Rukuba, Jos, that claimed the lives of no fewer than 27 Nigerians and left many others injured.
