Several Super Eagles players are currently without clubs as they search for new destinations following the expiration of their contracts.
Leading the list is goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, valued at €1 million, who recently parted ways with South African side Chippa United after four years at the club.
The 2023 and 2025 AFCON star goalkeeper has been linked with Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC and Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.
Speaking on his departure, Nwabali explained that the decision was mutual and aimed at advancing his career.
“Football is football. You wait for the right moment. After the last AFCON, there may have been interest, but for me, you need to enjoy where you are and be comfortable. Parting ways now is a strong decision. It is not a nice one, but I feel it is best for me,” Nwabali said.
He confirmed that he is free to negotiate with any club domestically or internationally.
“I am not desperate. If a club comes and it suits my agent or suits me, I will play. Every player wants to win trophies and play on a big stage. That is my dream,” he added.
Defender Olisa Ndah, valued at €400,000, recently terminated his contract with Orlando Pirates after five seasons and over 80 appearances for the South African club.
The 28-year-old is currently training with Stellenbosch FC as he seeks a new permanent home.
Centre-back Kenneth Omeruo, valued at €600,000, has been without a club since September 2025, while striker Stephen Odey (€500,000) and right-back Henry Uzochukwu (€350,000) are also searching for new destinations.
Other Nigerian players currently without clubs include Vincent Onovo, Samuel Adegbenro, Okechukwu Azubuike, Lanre Kehinde, Bonke Innocent, Moses Ebiye, Henry Offia, Augustine Oladapo, Silas Nwankwo, Imoh Ezekiel, Uche Agbo and Tony, among others.
