Bwala mocks ADC spokesperson for not knowing party's ideology

Daniel Bwala Daniel Bwala

Presidential spokesperson, Daniel Bwala, has mocked the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, accusing him of not knowing his party's ideology.

This was after Abdullahi entered into an argument during an interview on Channels TV, where he was asked to state his party's ideology.

When asked what his party's ideology will be, he said, "I don't know what you mean when you say they will be working on a certain ideology."

He further stated, "They will have their brief, and the cardinal in all of that will be how the ADC will improve the lives and livelihood of Nigeria. We want to build a policy framework that puts Nigerians at the centre of every policy that we will do."

Asked to clarify claims that the ADC is just a gathering to snatch power, he said, "What you are trying to do is to make me give you a label, and I'm saying I'm not going to give you a label."

Mocking the interview, Bwala said Adbullahi is yet to understand what his party's ideology is, describing him as incompetent.

He said on X, 'The other time, they asked Bolaji, the ADC spokesperson, about the ideology of the ADC. He said they were still thinking about it. Today, they asked him again, and he became confused and started picking a fight. Lol. Association for a wild goose chase.

"He came with a book on "loyalist", but how can readers be convinced there is substance in the book when the author can not even define the ideology of the party he was appointed to speak for? If the spokesperson doesn’t know the ideology of the party, then it points to one of two things: either the incompetence of the spokesperson or the visionlessness of the party."
