Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his side’s clash with Power Dynamos, DAILY POST reports.

The Pride of Rivers held the Zambians to a 0-0 draw at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday.

It was Rivers United’s first point in the group stage of the CAF Champions League, having lost their opening two games to holders Pyramids FC, and RS Berkane.

Finidi confessed that they went into the game with the motive of securing maximum points but they are happy to avoid defeat.

“We only defended in the second half. I think in the second half, it was more of Dynamos taking control of the game. It’s not the result that we wanted, but we’re happy with the draw,” the former Nigeria international said after the game.

The Port Harcourt club remain in third position in Group A with one point from three games.

They will entertain Power Dynamos in a matchday four encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday, 1 February.
