Former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has joined Qatari club Al Ahli SC.

Troost-Ekong moved to Al Ahli from Saudi Pro League side Al Kholood.

The 32-year-old defender penned a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club, which will see him remain at Al Ahli until the summer of 2028.

Al Ahli announced Troost-Ekong’s signing in a post shared via the club’s official social media handles.

“He’s here, he’s ready — welcome to the club, William. Let’s make history together,” the club posted on Instagram.

Troost-Ekong made 49 appearances for Al Kholood, scoring two goals during his time with the Saudi club.
