Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has been named the best coach of the group stage at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Malian tactician recorded a 100 percent record in the group stage, winning all three matches.

Chelle began his campaign with a 2–1 victory over Tanzania before recording a hard-fought 3–2 win against Tunisia.

The 47-year-old wrapped up the group stage with a comfortable 3–1 victory over Uganda.

Nigeria finished the group stage as the highest-scoring team in the tournament, netting eight goals.

The three-time African champions will be hoping to maintain their winning momentum when they face Mozambique in the round of 16 on January 6.
