American boxer Jake Paul has spoken out after a tragic accident involving British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua.

Paul publicly offered his condolences to Joshua following the fatal car crash in Nigeria on December 29, 2025, which resulted in two team members' deaths and minor injuries to the British heavyweight. A few hours after reports confirmed the incident, Paul posted messages on X, putting aside their recent boxing rivalry to recognise the heartbreaking loss.

In his post, Paul wrote: “Life is much more important than boxing. I am praying for the lost lives, AJ and anyone impacted by today’s unfortunate accident.”

The American boxer followed up with a tribute to the deceased. He wrote, “RIP Sina Ghami and Kevin ‘Latif / Latz’ Ayodele. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends and AJ.”

Jake Paul’s messages arrived only 10 days after Joshua's sixth-round knockout win against him in their Netflix stream fight on December 19, 2025.

Meanwhile, Joshua is currently recuperating at a hospital in Lagos, with reports from the Nigerian presidency indicating that he's feeling better.
