Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed a fresh injury blow ahead of their Premier League clash against Newcastle United this weekend.

The former Leicester City boss disclosed that Brazilian wonderkid Willian Estevao will be unavailable for the crucial clash at St James’ Park on Saturday, December 20.

According to Maresca, the 18-year-old has suffered a muscle injury.

Estevao missed the Blues’ 3–1 victory away at Cardiff City in the League Cup on Tuesday, December 16.

Speaking in a post-match interview after the win over Cardiff, Maresca said: “It’s a small problem, a muscle problem.

“He [Estevao] won’t be available for Newcastle. We will see for the next one.”

The Brazilian youngster has been in fine form since joining the Blues in the summer.

Estevao has registered five goals and one assist in 21 appearances across all competitions.
