Super Eagles duo Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi were both on target as Fulham lost to Manchester City in a nine-goal thriller.

Pep Guardiola's side edged the London club 5-4 in a classic Premier League clash at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

Erling Haaland gave City the lead in the 17th minute before summer signing Tijjani Reijnders doubled the lead for the Cityzens in the 37th minute.

Phil Foden made it 3-0 in the 44th minute before Emile Smith Rowe reduced the deficit on the stroke of halftime.

Foden restored Man City’s three-goal lead shortly after the restart before Sander Berge’s own goal made it 5-1.

Alex Iwobi pulled one goal back for the hosts in the 57th minute before Chukwueze’s brace made it 5-4.

For the first time in 73 years, Fulham have failed to win a game after scoring four goals.

This last happened when the club lost 4-6 to Leicester City at home in September 1952.
