Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been named the Turkish Super Lig Player of the Month for October.

The former Southampton forward beat competition from eight players, including his teammate Andre Onana, to claim the individual award.

Other players who were shortlisted for the accolade include Rafa Silva, Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Orkun Kokcu, Ederson Moraes, Wilfred Singo, and Davinson Sanchez.

The Nigerian international registered two goals and one assist for Trabzonspor in three league appearances during the month under review.

Onuachu guided the Black Sea Storm to two wins and a draw in three Super Lig outings.

The 31-year-old has so far netted seven goals in 11 league appearances in the current campaign.
