Real Madrid have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.

The Reds will welcome the 15-time European champions to Anfield on Tuesday night in a Matchday Four fixture.

Ahead of the clash, Los Blancos have disclosed that Argentine youngster Franco Mastantuono has been diagnosed with pubalgia.

The 18-year-old has become the third youngster in La Liga to be diagnosed with the condition, after Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.

Mastantuono was in action for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in their 4–0 win over Valencia on Saturday night.

“Following tests carried out today on Franco Mastantuono by Real Madrid’s medical department, the player has been diagnosed with pubalgia. His recovery will be monitored,” the club said in a statement.
