Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore stated that he had a productive meeting on Wednesday with Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, his brother Emmanuel Kanu, Barrister Wisdom Okere, and 10 others "who were arrested and brutalised" by the Nigeria Police Force for participating in a peaceful #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest at Kuje Prison.

In a post on X, Sowore stated that despite the challenges they face, they remain in high spirits as they continue to push for their release to fight against oppression.

"Unfortunately, the @FCT_PoliceNG Command further maltreated them after we parted ways on Monday, by heavily unleashing tear gas against them within their premises before detaining them at the notorious #SARS Abattoir.

"This is highly condemnable, and we will continue to demand the release of Barrister Aloy Ejimakor," knocking the "Nigeria Police Force Police, Kayode Egberokun, for his irresponsible leadership."

Nnamdi Kanu is facing charges bordering on terrorism and treasonable felony. He's currently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
