US Congressman representing West Virginia's 2nd District in Congress, Riley Moore, has said President Bola Tinubu must protect Christians from being slaughtered in Nigeria.
Moore said this in reaction to a post from a social media user revealing how the Nigerian Army dismissed claims of a planned attack by Fulani militia.
@MgajiInnocent said, "Yesterday, Reverend Ezekiel DACHOMO raised an alarm about planned Fulani attack on his community in Plateau State.
"I was surprised when the Nigerian Army released a full press statement accusing him of raising false alarm instead of massively deploying troops to secure the villages.
"Well, they are burying over 15 bodies today, this morning as I write.
"It will be hard to convince the people in the Plateaux that there is no planned genocide against the region."
Reacting, Rep Moore slammed the Nigerian government for dismissing the threat alert instead of protecting Christians.
He said on X, "Our brothers and sisters in Christ are being slaughtered in Nigeria. Just yesterday, another 15 were murdered by the Fulani.
"The local pastor warned Nigerian officials ahead of the attack. Instead of protecting Christians, the Nigerian government chose to accuse the pastor of spreading lies.
"@officialABAT, enough is enough. You must protect the Christians being slaughtered in your country."
