President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Super Eagles on their remarkable victory over Benin Republic in the final round of matches in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The three-time African champions thrashed the Cheetahs 4-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo to qualify for the playoffs as one of the second-placed teams.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen netted a hat-trick, with Frank Onyeka adding another to seal a convincing victory for Eric Chelle's side.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the Super Eagles for their determination and pledged his support for the team in their bid to secure a spot at the global showpiece.
