Netizens have expressed displeasure after photos showed the wives of Adamawa local government chairmen in Turkey to learn how to assist in the running of local governments.

Although details are still sketchy, netizens described the policy as a waste of taxpayers' money, given the fact that the wives of the LG chairmen hold no political post.

An X user, @Softonis01, said, "They're just wives not holding any public office, yet the state has to sponsor their trip to go learn how to willingly assist the state. Jokes upon jokes."

@Maxajee said, "No matter how much Nigeria is explained to you, you will never fully understand it until you live here. This isn't a case of misplaced priorities; it's an insult to Adamawa State local government workers."
