Edafe Matthew EseOghene, the owner of Elegbete TV & Radio, has slammed the current crop of Super Eagles players, labelling them as the worst team to play for Nigeria.
Speaking on matters pertaining to the Super Eagles on his platform, Elegbete TV, the sports journalist disclosed that it is almost impossible to work closely with the team and not lose one’s mind.
He further added that he has gone as far as saving some of the players from sex tape scandals.
“See, I'm not lying. You can't work with this set of Super Eagles and not go mad,” Edafe said in Pidgin.
“This Super Eagles is the worst set of human beings I have ever met, as a group, in my entire life. People can misunderstand or misinterpret me, but they're not close to the team like I am.
“I have bought sex tapes. I have saved them from sex tape embarrassment, and I'm telling you — these are the worst set of human beings I have seen playing football for Nigeria. I'm not just saying this because I want to offend them. Don't you think I need their friendship? But if they're useless, they're useless.”
Edafe has become the latest person to sharply criticise the Super Eagles for their shambolic display in the World Cup qualifiers.
He joins the likes of former international Victor Ikpeba, who has also blamed the team for the precarious situation Nigeria finds itself in the qualifiers campaign.
