Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has lifted the lid on his decision to join Wolverhampton Wanderers during the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk on a four-year deal, with the option of an additional year, in a transfer worth £23.4 million.
Arokodare, who was among the most sought-after strikers in Europe, finally fulfilled his dream of playing in the Premier League after securing a move to Molineux on transfer deadline day.
The Nigerian international made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United at St James' Park last weekend.
The former Valmiera forward revealed that he didn’t hesitate when Wolves expressed interest, as playing in the Premier League had always been his goal.
“When Wolverhampton became concrete, I didn’t hesitate for a second. No one had to convince me. Everyone also knew I absolutely wanted to go to the Premier League,” he told Belgian outlet HLN.
