KAI dislodges illegal street traders in Lagos

Scene of the incident Scene of the incident

Officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline have dislodged illegal street traders constituting a nuisance at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2 in Lagos

When MyNigeria visited the scene, it was noticed that the wooden stalls of the traders had been dismantled and crushed by KAI officials. The traders' stalls had covered the entire space around a newly constructed bridge in the area, leaving little space for vehicular activities.

The stalls were also positioned under electricity cables, indicating a future disaster in the making.

According to Tokunbo Wahab, Commissioner of the Environment and Water Resources, "These activities obstruct traffic flow, endanger pedestrians, and litter the environment."

Wahab expressed the ministry's commitment to keeping roads safe, clean, and free of all forms of environmental infractions.
