Genk forward Tolu Arokodare is set to lead the line for Nigeria ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifiers against South Africa.

The Bafana Bafana will host the Super Eagles at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday, September 9, in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

The Super Eagles will be without their talisman Victor Osimhen. The striker sustained an ankle injury in Nigeria's last game against Rwanda in Uyo and has returned to Turkey for further tests.

Reports emerging from the Super Eagles camp indicate that Arokodare is expected to replace the 26-year-old in the lineup.

Arokodare came on as a second-half substitute and scored the only goal in Nigeria's slender 1–0 victory over the Amavubi last weekend.

The 24-year-old has netted two goals in five outings for the Super Eagles.
