Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, drew wide attention during a recent outing when he stopped to interact with a woman selling puff puff in the crowd.

The governor, who had been acknowledging cheers from residents, suddenly pointed at the vendor and asked how much the entire tray of pastries on her head would cost.

The woman, startled by the unexpected recognition, was unable to respond coherently despite repeated inquiries from Adeleke. The spectacle drew the attention of those around, who watched with keen interest as the governor pressed further.

Moments later, Adeleke reached for a bundle of cash and handed it to the stunned vendor.

The gesture was met with loud cheers as the woman immediately went down on her knees, screaming “Imole,” the governor’s popular slogan. Supporters around the scene surged forward, eager to witness the exchange before security aides quickly restored order.

The encounter, however, did not end there. The governor directed that the woman be ushered into his vehicle, where she was offered an appointment as a chef in the Government House.

Months ago, he pardoned a man condemned to a death sentence by the court for stealing a fowl, arguing the judgment was too harsh given the severity of the offence.
