Netizens have slammed the Nigerian government after seeing the number of vehicles in the convoy of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, during her recent visit to Lagos.

According to some of the netizens on X, they counted nothing less than 70 vehicles, including ambulances, military and police vans.

Displeased by the sight, they wondered if the President Bola Tinubu administration is sincere about cutting the cost of governance.

An X user, @emye_cool, said, "I counted 79 vehicles, including four ambulances. The question is, why does the wife of a sitting president, who is a normal citizen like us, go about with these convoys? The cost of fueling these cars alone can build two standard boreholes."

@Ikuku_Olisa said, "Spending taxpayers' money on someone who has no constitutional office in a country where over 85% of its population is languishing in abject poverty. It's an aberration. And my people are very docile as usual."

@kenwills01 said, "See people who claimed to have cut the cost of governance. Nigerians are not just ready to say it’s enough; otherwise, we wouldn’t be where we are today. It’s a shame on us as a country to always celebrate mediocrity and corrupt leaders, especially those in the corridors of power in this current “stolen” administration. God forbid!"

@LORDEXPORT said, "Finished nation. See the waste of public funds. They still tell us it's just a baby step suffering while the first lady moves with hundreds of convoys. We are doomed."

@Newben82 said, "As things stand, Nigeria is in deep sht. Some things you see just stand as evidence that this Nigeria is not going anywhere. All these luxurious expensive cars were fueled just to follow only one woman, shout for what exactly? And observe how the youths are helplessly cheering and agonising at the same time, instead of being triggered by the sorry sight to organise and end such wickedness."
