A former Spokesman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu has advised Igbos to invest less in politics but in business and technological expansion of their region.
Ibegbu gave advice during a seminar on human capital development which was organized by the Centre for Economic and Human Capital Development in Umuahia, Abia State.
He asked Ndigbo to copy the model of the cities of Munich in Germany and Catalonia in Spain, where he said, the indigenous people embarked on economic transformation of their regions and earned the respect of their neighbours
The former Ohanaeze spokesman pointed out that the South East can become Nigeria’s super zone of commerce, technology and a production hub if investors and leaders from the area concentrate less in politics.
He praised the initiative of Nnewi indegenes in turning their town to a global market place, saying that the Nnewi’s success story can be replicated all over the Igbo land.
Igegbu who is the Director General of Akurulo Movement, said his group is embarking on a sensitisation drive and called for support from Igbos all over the world.
