Despite securing the signature of some high-profile signings like Victor Osimhen and Leroy Sané, Galatasaray has shown no sign of slowing down in the transfer market this summer.

According to reports, Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji is the next transfer target on the radar of the Turkish champions.

Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Galatasaray have approached the former Premier League champions for the signature of the Swiss international of Nigerian descent.

The Turkish champions are reportedly in talks with Akanji's agent in their bid to sort out the player's personal terms.

Akanji is set to make the final decision on his future at Etihad in the coming days.

According to Inside Futbol, Victor Osimhen contacted Akanji to convince him to consider joining the Yellow and Reds this summer.

Akanji was an unused substitute during Manchester City's 4–0 thrashing of Wolves in their Premier League opener on Saturday, August 16.

The 30-year-old was born to a Nigerian father and Swiss mother in Wiesendangen, Switzerland.
