Reigning African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman is set to stay at Atalanta as Inter Milan have pulled out of the race for his signature.
The Nerazzurri, who have shown keen interest in the Nigerian international, have reportedly communicated their decision to Atalanta after seeing their initial €45 million bid rejected by the club.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club will update Lookman's representative on their new stance.
Lookman, who has publicly communicated his decision not to play for the club again, will now have to rescind his decision unless another club expresses interest in him.
While Spanish giants Atlético Madrid have shown interest in Lookman, there are currently no talks ongoing between the player's representatives and the club.
According to Sky Sport, the 27-year-old could be available for new head coach Ivan Jurić ahead of Atalanta's Serie A season opener against Pisa this weekend.
The Super Eagles winger has two weeks to sort out his future before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month.
