Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said new signing Wilfred Ndidi will add value to Besiktas in the new season.

“We signed Ndidi. We want to sign players who will compete for the title. He was there when I lost against Leicester City when I was in charge of Manchester United,” Ole remarked.

“I know he will help the team a lot,” the former Manchester United manager stated.

Ndidi has signed a three-year contract with the Istanbul giants, who are expected to challenge champions Galatasaray for the Turkish Super Lig title.

The new season will kick off tonight (Saturday, August 9) when Samsunspor take on Genclerbirligi in the first game of the 2025/2026 campaign before Antalyaspor face Kasimpasa in the next game.
