Biodun Olujimi, a former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, has expressed her confidence that Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential nominee for 2023, does not pose a serious challenge to President Bola Tinubu's chances of securing a second term.
Olujimi commented that Obi’s persuasive eloquence, which contributed significantly to his success in the 2023 elections, is unlikely to have the same impact in the upcoming 2027 polls.
Her remarks were made during a Thursday appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today program.
“The rhetoric of the last election will not work again, except he comes with another gimmick. And you see, this (Tinubu) is a politician, a man who knows the terrain well,” she said.
Olujimi, a former Senate Minority Leader, remarked that defeating President Tinubu in 2027 will be challenging due to his extensive political experience.
