Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has mocked UK Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch by comparing her situation to that of Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre.
Plumptre and the Falcons lifted Nigeria's 10th WAFCON title on Sunday by beating the host country, Morocco, coming from two goals down to end the game 3-2.
While Nigerians celebrate the victory, Omokri sets his sights on Badenoch and her recent claim that, despite being born in Nigeria to Nigerian parents, she cannot get citizenship for her children born to her UK husband.
According to Omokri, Badenoch's claim is false and lacks merit when compared to Plumptre.
He shared on Facebook, "To show you how empty and myopic Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the UK Conservative Party is, Ashleigh Plumptre, who was born in England, has Nigerian heritage, going back to her grandparent, Harry Dotun Plumptre. Yet, based on that relationship, she got Nigerian citizenship and a passport, despite having two British citizen parents.
"She also scored goals for Nigeria during the CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations and helped Nigeria become African champions.
And Kemi Badenoch is lying to the world that her daughters cannot get Nigerian citizenship, and using every opportunity she has on the world stage to de-market Nigeria, like Peter Obi.
"One Ashleigh Plumptre is more useful to Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa than a thousand Kemi Badenochs, a self-hating female Uncle Tom!"
