Italian football expert Guido Trombetti has shared his thoughts on why top European clubs are shying away from signing Victor Osimhen.
According to Trombetti, the elite clubs which showed interest in the Nigerian international cooled off their interest due to his character.
He also attributed the withdrawal from Osimhen's pursuit to his high wage demand of €12 million net annual salary.
Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all clubs that expressed keen interest in the Super Eagles striker but eventually cooled off their interest.
Speaking on Radio Napoli Centrale, Trombetti stated that the 26-year-old is a difficult player to deal with.
"The problem now is only one: Victor Osimhen. He’s a difficult person in terms of behaviour, you never know what he wants to do.
Football clubs stay away from his difficult character. Precisely for this reason, in fact, no European club has offered the 75 million euros of the termination clause.
They are afraid to deal with him. The President (of Napoli) must make a discount in order to get rid of him."
Galatasaray has, however, gone all out in their bid to secure Victor Osimhen's signature on a permanent deal following his remarkable loan spell at the club.
The former Lille striker registered a remarkable 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions.
