Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has reportedly rejected offers from two top European clubs ahead of his permanent transfer to Galatasaray.
The disclosure was made by Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba, in a post on X.
According to Buchi, the Super Eagles striker was firm in his decision to join Galatasaray this summer.
Napoli and Galatasaray have now agreed on a €75 million transfer fee for Osimhen—shattering the record for the most expensive deal in Turkish football history.
“Victor James Osimhen rejected two top European clubs plus the Saudis to return to Galatasaray. He made it very clear to Napoli that he wanted to return to Türkiye,” Buchi Laba posted on X.
“Just as he promised Galatasaray he wouldn’t leave in January 2025 when he was on loan, he told them they’re his priority.
“Thumbs up to everyone involved in this deal. They worked serious magic.
This is the biggest transfer in Turkish football history, and hopefully great things will come from it.”
