Former aide to an ex-president, Reno Omokri, has described 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as the Mother of all Agbotikuyos.

Agbotikuyo is a Yoruba term for someone who takes delight in the news of death or disaster.

According to Omokri, Obi earned the title because he has always politicised news of death or tragedy in Nigeria.

Omokri made this known while juxtaposing Obi's character with how U.S politicians have acted in the wake of floods in Texas, which have almost killed a hundred people.

He wrote on Facebook, "Floods in Texas have killed almost a hundred people, and my condolences go out to their families as well as the State of Texas. But have you noticed that no American politician, whether Republican or Democrat, is politicising the deaths? If it were in Nigeria, Peter Obi, the Mother of all Agbotikuyos, would have danced naked in public to politicise it and accuse President Tinubu. As long as it did not occur in Igboland, but in the North and Southwest.
Or am I lying? Come on, people, admit it. Am I lying??
