Unilever Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Ibrahim Sodipe as Executive Director of the company, effective July 1, 2025.
It said in a statement that Sodipe, who was previously the Head of Finance at Unilever Ethiopia, brings over 13 years of experience in financial reporting, controls, and business strategy to his new role.
According to the company’s notice to the Nigerian Exchange, Sodipe has been instrumental in driving business profitability and has demonstrated transformational capabilities in turning around business processes across West and North Africa.
“Ibrahim Sodipe has been pivotal in driving business profitability and has helped enshrined this winning mentality in the business,” the notice stated.
Sodipe is a graduate of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has served in various roles, including Financial Controller for Unilever Maghreb and Commercial Finance Business Partner for West Africa.
With this appointment, the current Board composition of Unilever Nigeria Plc now includes Sodipe as Executive Director, alongside other members, including Mr. Tobi Adeniyi, Managing Director, and several independent non-executive directors.
Some of them include Mr Bolaji Balogun – Chairman/Independent Non-Executive Director, Mr Michael Ikpoki – Independent Non-Executive Director, and Mr. Ben Langat – Non-Executive Director, among others.
