The stage is set for the quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup following the conclusion of all Round of 16 matches.

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund were the latest clubs to secure their spots in the last eight after beating Juventus and Monterrey, respectively.

Xabi Alonso's side recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Juventus at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Tuesday, July 1.

Youngster Gonzalo Garcia scored the only goal in the 54th minute to guide Los Blancos to the last eight.

Borussia Dortmund also recorded a 2-1 victory over Mexican club Monterrey in the early hours of Wednesday, July 2.

Serhou Guirassy scored both goals, while Germán Berterame netted a consolation for Monterrey.

Real Madrid and Dortmund have joined six other teams that had already secured their places in the quarterfinals.
