Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee has named a Nigerian delicacy as his favourite meal.
The 24-year-old has revealed that he enjoys eating rice and stew—especially the spicy one prepared by his mother.
Zirkzee was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch father and a Nigerian mother in 2001.
The former Bologna forward was eligible to represent either the Netherlands or Nigeria at the international level, and he opted for the former.
He made his international debut for Oranje in July 2024 during the European Championship against Turkey.
Zirkzee was asked about his favourite dinner in a quick chat with UtdTruthful, and he responded:
“Favourite dinner? My mom’s food—rice and stew, Nigerian spicy,” Zirkzee said.
“My mom’s food will always be number one. That is how it should be.”
