Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is set to remain in the Premier League, as Everton have reportedly shown strong interest in securing his signature.

The Super Eagles midfielder is keen to leave Leicester City following the club's relegation from the top flight.

Ndidi has two years remaining on his contract with the Foxes, having signed a new deal with the club last summer.

The new contract includes a £9 million release clause for the 28-year-old.

The Toffees attempted to sign Ndidi last summer, but the deal failed to materialize.

French Ligue 1 side Monaco also had a bid for Ndidi rejected by Leicester City in January.

Ndidi has also attracted interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

The Nigerian midfielder joined the King Power Stadium outfit in the winter of 2017.
