Eight clubs have booked their place in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup following the conclusion of the Group A and B matches in the early hours of Tuesday, June 24.

MLS side Inter Miami and Brazilian club Palmeiras were the latest teams to book their place in the knockout phase after European champions PSG and Botafogo had earlier secured qualification.

Inter Miami and Palmeiras played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami as the Brazilian side fought from two goals down to secure a draw with ten minutes left on the clock.

French and European champions PSG also secured a 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders to finish as Group B winners.

Despite losing by a lone goal to Atletico Madrid, Botafogo qualified ahead of the Spanish giants as runners-up to PSG.

Inter Miami, Palmeiras, PSG and Botafogo have now joined the likes of Juventus, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Flamengo in the knockout stage.
