Political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has sounded a warning to Nigerians as the coalition designed to unseat President Bola Tinubu gains momentum.
Some of the politicians in the coalition include a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Chibuike Amaechi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
On the sidelines is the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, who is expected to fully align with the coalition as the presidential candidate or vice presidential candidate.
Reacting, Yesufu called on Nigerians to actively participate in the coalition, instead of only leaving it to those who can afford to buy party tickets at N200 million.
“Dear Nigerians, be the drivers of the coalition. Participate in it. Call the shots! Make demands!” She wrote.
“Ask for seats, tickets! While the usual politicians are positioning for the executive positions, position for the legislative position.
“Who do you want as your state house of assembly members, House of Representatives members, Senators.
“Make those part of the coalition conversation.
“Politics should not be left for people who can buy 200 million Naira forms alone.”
