Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Victor Osimhen after multiple sources in Italy claimed the Napoli-owned striker has rejected the chance to join Juventus this summer.
Naples-based media Il Mattino and Radio Kiss Kiss report that the Nigerian forward has closed the door on a potential move to the Allianz Stadium for the 2025/26 season.
The 26-year-old, who has netted an impressive 36 goals across all competitions this season, had emerged as the Old Lady’s primary target for their attack, but according to the latest reports, the striker has now ruled out a transfer to the Turin giants.
As per Radio Kiss Kiss, this development significantly strengthens the position of Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for the Nigeria international, with both Premier League sides having monitored the prolific forward for months.
According to the report, Paris Saint-Germain also remain interested in Osimhen after signing his ex-Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the January transfer window.
Osimhen has a €75m release clause in his Napoli contract, though this is not valid for clubs within Serie A. This clause would have presented a significant obstacle for Juventus, but recent reports claimed they were willing to exceed this figure to persuade Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell Osimhen to them rather than to a foreign club.
The Napoli-owned forward continues attracting interest from Saudi sides, and his current club, Galatasaray, are also considering an offer to sign him permanently, according to Il Mattino.
Osimhen is currently enjoying a remarkable season on loan at Galatasaray, having played a pivotal role in helping the Istanbul giants secure their record-extending 25th Turkish Süper Lig title on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Kayserispor.
The Nigerian forward scored his seventh goal in six games in that match, bringing his tally to 25 goals in the Turkish Süper Lig this season. This has placed him three clear of Istanbul Başakşehir’s Krzysztof Piątek in the race for the Golden Boot with two matches remaining.
The championship success completed a memorable domestic double for Galatasaray, coming just days after their Turkish Cup victory against Trabzonspor, in which Osimhen scored twice.
When previously questioned about his future plans as his loan spell approaches its conclusion, Osimhen remained non-committal, stating, “I will wait until the end of the season before I announce what is next for me.”
Osimhen is under contract with Napoli until 2026, but the Partenopei have an option to extend to 2027 if the striker doesn’t find a new club in the summer transfer window.
