Ex-presidential aide Reno Omokri has condemned the silence from former presidential candidate Peter Obi as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) declares a sit-at-home for May 30, thereby threatening students sitting for examination set by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

IPOB made the declaration to be observed in the Southeast, Obi's region, in honour of fallen heroes of the defunct Biafra Republic.

Reacting, Omokri said Obi won't have been silent had it been the declaration was issued by some other group in another region.

He wrote on Facebook, "Just last week, Peter Obi was blaming President Tinubu and the Federal Government for the lacklustre UTME examination results held by JAMB. Yet, just like last year, Peter Obi remains silent as IPOB again declares a sit-at-home and "total lockdown" to coincide with WAEC examinations scheduled to be held on May 30, 2025.

"This is the same Peter Obi who almost broke the Internet by falsely accusing JAMB of setting exams for 6:30 AM. Yet, he is silent now that IPOB has warned everyone in the Southeast not to venture out on a day that WAEC exams are to be held.

"If the Kano Hisbah or Amotekun had issued such a barbaric directive, Peter Obi would have condemned it in two seconds.

"But as it is occurring in Igboland, Obi has suddenly become deaf, blind and dumb.

"It is part of his regular trademark. If it takes place in the Southeast, Peter Obi will chop and clean mouth. But if it occurs in the North or Southwest, Obi will dance naked in public.

"Or am I lying?"
