Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has condemned the silence from ex-presidential candidate, Peter Obi, after gunmen set ablaze several vehicles in Imo State.
In a statement, Omokri revealed that a driver was killed by the gunmen who also attacked travellers and abducted many of them.
He lamented that 24 hours after the incident, Obi had yet to voice concern in the same way he does when similar incidents happened outside his Southeast region.
Omokri shared on Facebook, "Unknown gunmen again struck in Imo yesterday, killing several people and setting multiple vehicles ablaze. Also yesterday, in the same Imo, another group of unknown gunmen attacked interstate travellers in a car, killing the driver and abducting several travellers, including Professor Herbert Batta of the University of Uyo.
"But guess what? As usual, 24 hours later, Peter Obi has not said anything. Why? Because it occurred in Igbo land. But if it happened in Lagos, Kano, Ibadan or Sokoto, Peter Obi would have brought out his megaphone.
"It is his regular trademark. If it occurs in the Southeast, Peter Obi will chop and clean his mouth. But if it occurs in the North or Southwest, Obi will dance naked in public. Or am I lying?"
