Journalist Rufai Oseni has lamented the lack of action from security agencies following the revelation from 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi about threats to his life.

On Monday, January 6, 2025, Peter Obi took to social media to announce that he has been receiving death threats due to his criticisms of President Bola Tinubu’s government.

He noted that his family and those around him have also been threatened by some individuals of the ruling party.

Peter Obi stated that after criticizing the government in his New Year’s Day message, he was confronted by an APC official named Felix Morka, who accused him of crossing the line and warned him of the consequences.

Reacting to the issue, Rufai Oseni tackled the security agencies for not intervening in Obi’s recent revelation about threats from an APC official.

Oseni wrote on his X page, “Crossed the line??an APC official threatened Peter Obi and the security agencies haven’t said anything. If it was another person that threatened, the security forces will be active. Point out the lie in Peter Obi’s new year day message— the opposition is meant to hold the government accountable!”
