I’ll continue trekking till my last breath If Tinubu refuses to honour me - Man who trekked from Ibadan to Abuja

Mr Nigeria 101 Mr Nigeria 101

A Nigerian man identified as Mr Nigeria 101, has vowed to continue trekking until his last breath if the government fails to attend to him.

Mr Nigeria 101 gained attention after declaring his plan to trek from Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, to meet with President Bola Tinubu.

Starting on December 1, 2024, Mr Nigeria 101 lamented that despite walking 600 kilometres, he has not received any attention or inquiries from the government about his mission.

He has been sharing his journey on social media platforms like Tik Tok, amassing about 36,000 followers and 42,600 likes since beginning his trek from Ibadan to Abuja.

In a recent video, Mr Nigeria 101 voiced his disappointment and frustration with President Tinubu and his government, for ignoring his efforts to show support.

The activist, feeling disgruntled, has threatened to become a nuisance until he is acknowledged and rewarded.

He said, "Dear Nigerians, what the government is doing to me is bad. I used my legs to trek from Ibadan to Abuja since December 1, 2024, to date, not even a councillor of a ward has attended to me to say, ‘You this guy, why did you trek from Ibadan to Abuja?’ It is unfair. It is not something to be proud of.

“See, I just started. If no government official attends to me to ask me why I embarked on this adventure, I will not rest. I will turn into a government liability; I will become a disturbance. I will continue to trek from one place to another till my blood will finish, till my last breath. I will not go home unless they attend to me.”
