Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has named Cole Palmer as the best player in the Premier League.

The former Chelsea manager described the 22-year-old as a beautiful player to watch due to his good decision-making with the ball at his feet.

The England international has been in brilliant form since joining the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2023.

The 22-year-old registered 27 goals and 15 assists in 48 appearances for Chelsea in his debut season, finding the back of the net against top EPL clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United.

Palmer's incredible campaign earned him the Blues Player of the Season and the PFA Young Player of the Season awards.

Speaking on Sky Sports, the all-time Chelsea top scorer said:

“I think he is the best player in the league. What he is delivering, in terms of goals and assists, in terms of his importance to the team. [He is] beautiful to watch, receives the ball in any area, knows what he is going to do with it next.”

Palmer has scored seven goals and registered five assists in 10 Premier League outings this season.
