It is you and your daddy who destroyed the party - Fayose fires Dino Melaye

Isaac Fayose, a social commentator and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called out Dino Melaye, a former governorship candidate who said the party is dead and now once upon a time.

Fayose added his voice to several other members of the party who have criticized Melaye for his outburst against the party.

Melaye, a chieftain of the party, in a tweet on X, decried the crisis plaguing the party, saying it has been destroyed by the acting chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagun and others.

He said he would talk about the commercialization and privatization of the PDP later.

Melaye wrote: “End of the road for PDP as Damagun, Bature, and Anyanwu irredeemably destroyed the party. We will talk about the commercialization and privatization of PDP. PDP is now once upon a time.”

Reacting, Fayose criticized Melaye and the former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for killing the party.

"Dino is saying the PDP is destroyed beyond repairs. Dino, it is you and your daddy (Atiku) who destroyed the party. It is you people who spoilt the party. We warned you that time that this thing you are doing will bring trouble to the party. We were warning you that time that this thing you are doing, it will backfire and will choke you people. You got a ticket for governor and claimed third, your oga too came second. When are you people leaving the party?" he said in an Instagram post.
