Nigerians have taken to social media to bring the attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to the UK elections.
As the European country went to the polls on Thursday, July 4, 2024, to elect a new Prime Minister, several individuals living in the UK have shared their thoughts about the election process.
Many praised the UK government for their ability to conduct a free and fair election with former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of the Conservative Party conceding defeat to Kier Starmer of the Labour Party.
Sunak quickly went to Buckingham Palace and submitted his resignation to King Charles III.
In the video, a televised screen showed the exit poll which are opinions of citizens about an election as well as the general feeling of the people.
Reacting to the election process, Nigerians called on INEC to imitate the UK election process and outcome to deliver a better performance to the people of Nigeria in the next general election.
Some Nigerians took to X platform to share their thoughts,
If inec do it like this, they will say they spent $900B and still project this as the result pic.twitter.com/5GCKcegnrh

Sha sha this is not the official declaration of votes. It's the news prediction based on Electoral movements in the day.

However, I fully agree, our INEC has a LOT LOT LOT to learn and improve in terms of general culture and conduct.
I only spent two minutes to cast my vote here in uk. Starting from Registering for the election to voting wasn’t stressful. I got to my polling unit was asked my address, they found my name and asked for government id and that was all. Nobody asked me to vote anyone. No thuggery

I was hoping they will say there are glitches so they won't be able to declare the winner. See result declaration with little or no human interference. May we get it right one day

They would rather set up a high table full of old men who can barely update the apps on their phones.

Dose it mean that Nigeria cannot develop and conduct credible election, what a shame and INEC chairman is still living and working free

@inecnigeria have no integrity, they can’t pull this off, just to rig to the highest bidder
